    Melanie D. Harrison, Ph.D.

Melanie is an environmental scientist and water quality specialist, supporter of STEM education, music lover, and sports junkie. She has an undergraduate degree in Biology from Johnson C. Smith University and a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She is currently working as a water quality specialist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and continuously looking to increase STEM diversity.

Note that the reviews and opinions in this blog are Melanie's alone and do not represent her employers or educational institution's past and present. Melanie does not blog about her work at NOAA.
